Love looks not with the mind but with the heart

I have discovered something about myself. Whether it's a late discovery or not is not something worth pondering upon. I have discovered that I don't desire the appreciation, love and attention of anyone but I do crave to give of my love in abundance to things and people who crave for it. I am satisfied with having loved; whether it's a mere animal or person and I have no such desire for the return of it. Nothing is mere or insignificant in the eyes of love. If in our hearts we do possess love then it is meaningless until bestowed. On who or what it is bestowed upon is not important but the mere act of loving and giving selflessly is in itself the best reward ever.

The things we do in love

In love...we live
In love...we die
In love... we rise higher than the skies
In love...we smile
In love...our tears never dry
In love....we never cared to walk that extra mile
In love....we sacrifice.

Do not give up

I live to die again,
Smile to cry again,
Heal to be wounded again,
Trust to be betrayed again,
Get up to fall down again,
Love to be hurt again,
Aspire to be disappointed again,
Win to lose again,
Fight to be defeated again,
And yet i do not give up...

Ever since you left

Ever since you left nothing seeems to go right,
I have lost my peace of mind,
Nothing seems worthwhile in everything that I find.
I wish you were here,
Right in front of my eyes,
Filling my world up with happiness,
Holding my hands and guiding me through life.
Giving me a reason to be alive..

Love

I thought.... that love was so great, so powerful and so devine that everything else would become helpless before it. But now I have realised that love is so weak, helpless and fragile.. that it has to bend before everything else...

All I want

I want to see the light in the dark,
Your face in the sparks,
The truth in the lies.
I want to hear your voice in the cries,
I want to feel your presence around me,
Your being surround me.
I want to live in your heart,
And never part,
I want to keep you in my dreams,
Seek you with my screams,
Drench you with my tears,
Hold you with my fears.
I want to love you throughout my years.

UGC 110 - What does Computer Literacy in the 21st century involves?

Computer literacy in the 21st century involves a number of aspects. However, before delving into those aspects I would first like to define some key terms.
According to the online website techfluency, “Computer literacy is the knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently.” Since the introduction of the internet we have been overwhelmed with information and as such it is important for us to know what information is valid, reliable and unbiased. In order for us to evaluate the information we have we need to be information literate.
According to the University of Idaho’s website, “Information literacy is the ability to identify what information is needed, understand how the information is organized, identify the best sources of information for a given need, locate those sources, evaluate the sources critically, and share that information.”
Computer literacy involves a number of skills. In a century where technology keeps on growing, it is crucial that we examine what skills should be taught in computer literacy. It is important that individuals develop competent computer skills from an early age. In this way they will master the skills successfully. Computer literacy should enable individuals to embrace technology. I think that computer literacy should b a major part of the education system. Even though it is already incorporated in the schools it needs revamping. Computer literacy education should prepare individuals for the world of technology and not only teach them how to use a computer. It should equip individual with the knowledge and skills necessary for them to survive in this technological age. It is of my opinion that in computer literacy, individuals should be taught how to use and manipulate the system and applications software. Individuals should be taught how to use programs such as Word processing, PowerPoint, Spreadsheet and Database. However, before one can efficiently access the computer’s keyboard to utilize word processing programs, he/she should be taught typing skills. Here we see how important it is to first develop the basic skills.
In addition, individuals should be taught how to personalize their computer systems. They should be able to set up their systems to suit their personality and to get the most out of it.
Moreover, individuals should be taught how to save, store and share information. It is important that they know how to do these things so that they could retrieve their information easily.
Furthermore, individuals should also know to maintain their computer systems. They should be taught how to upgrade their programs, scan frequently for viruses and clean their computer.
When it comes to using the World Wide Web, individuals should be taught to be information literate. Computer literacy should not be about using computers only but should include the ability to assess the information that we are being exposed to It is an essential skill, especially when browsing the internet for information. Computer literacy should help individuals acquire skills necessary for them to use the internet to their best advantage. They should know how to search for information, evaluate what information is relevant and genuine.

Our Love

Our paths have separated
Our lives have parted
Our smiles are tainted
Our dreams are shattered
Our love is scattered.

Four things that cannot be recovered.

Four things that cannot be recovered.

1. The stone ..... after the throw.
2. The word ..... after its said.
3. The occasion ...... after the loss.
4. The time ...... after its gone.

My Lover's Words by Rehana Brijlall

My lover's words are sweet yet empty,
They are few yet plenty,
His words do speak of love,
But his eyes tell another story

His words are like cupid's arrow,
Once out, strucks the heart but only gives sorrow,
His words do carry smiles,
But if only I could see the viles.

My lover's words are precious and rare,
But they only entangle and ensnare,
They are seducive and give promises of a beautiful tomorrow,
But they are lies borrowed,
His words do seem magical yet logical,
If only they were not so tragical
.

what is love

Love is a special, profound feeling...
love is smiling through the tears....
